The Sacred Heart Catholic Church is on the corner of Goyder Street and Doswell Terrace. Vinnies is in the top left-hand corner. The old Church is on the corner of Hallett Street and No 3 Lane.
Since the Church sanctuary is at an indeterminate angle south of west, we shall use liturgical directions here, using East (with a capital letter) to denote the direction of the sanctuary. We notice that the nave is rectangular with a small extension to the North (down), the sanctuary extending to the East (left end), and a transept (sacristy) and lean-to porch to the South (up). As usual, we shall circumnavigate the outside of the building before exploring the interior.
