INTRODUCTION
Many years ago I came from New Zealand to live in Adelaide, South Australia. New Zealand is a country of rare beauty, and initially I regarded Adelaide as a pleasant place to live rather than a destination of scenic wonders!
However, over the years I have discovered that Adelaide is a place of special beauty, not dramatic perhaps, but beauty that is there to seek out and enjoy. This website then is a record of my wandering through Adelaide’s gardens, camera in hand. Others have gone before, of course, but appreciation of nature is very much a personal experience, and each one‘s record will be different.
This website looks particularly at Adelaide’s gardens. Elsewhere I have recorded the beauties of the Torrens Linear Park, and the Adelaide Hills.
On each page, placing the cursor over a thumbnail (and holding it there) gives the location of the photo, clicking the thumbnail reveals a larger photo, double clicking opens the photo in a separate window. Clicking the title gives some general information about the garden, including a web reference. You are welcome to use any of my photos, but please acknowledge the source.
