The Cloister Garden is on the South side of the cathedral, and here we find the ruins of the old Chapter House. The Rochester monks were Benedictines, and the Chapter House was where they listened each day to a chapter from the Rule of St Benedict. 122. CLOISTER GARTH
The Cloister Garth is the name of the garden to the South of the Cathedral. It is a tranquil garden, surrounded by the ruins of the monks’ priory buildings – a space to reflect and relax. This completes our tour of Rochester Cathedral.
