S6. SPIRAL FERN The fronds of some ferns demonstrate a fractal self-similarity structure. The illustrated unfurling fern frond demonstrates a different fractal occurrence. Here again we have the equiangular spiral with the just-forming frondlets attached and diminishing in size towards the centre of the spiral. A beautiful sight!
