TOWN HALL |
|||||||||||||
We walk back to King William Street, turn south and come to the Town Hall. Adelaide Town Hall has a grand facade and tower. Entering the foyer we are greeted by a rather severe Queen Adelaide and an historic tapestry. Behind this imposing figure is the spectacular Queen Adelaide Room – not generally open for public viewing. Stairs lead to an ornate hall with a splendid organ. [This is not my photograph.] Around the corner in Pirie Street we find the Queen’s Chambers annex, but did the Queen pass through this door?! |
