The Brecknock is a heritage listed hotel wearing its 150 year history with pride. From 1851, The Brecon Arms occupied the site, until it was rebuilt in 1922 and renamed The Brecknock. Five generations of the Moore family have been associated with the pub since it was purchased by Francis Collingham Moore just over 100 years ago.

In the finest traditions of an Irish pub, the Brecknock has an old-world charm, with richly timbered walls, leadlight windows, open fireplaces and cosy, intimate bars.

There are 12 guest rooms.

Attached to the Brecknock is the Brecon Inn, a hostel catering for backpackers, and offering budget accommodation.

The Brecknock is recognised as the original Irish Pub in South Australia, and is the popular venue for traditional live Irish music.
