This graceful building first housed the Congregational Church of Port Adelaide. The high level of the sanctuary would have ensured safety from flood waters and the physical fitness of the congregation! The foundation stone shows the date 1867. The rear of the church is perhaps even more attractive than the front, and the tower is topped with an ornate metal decoration.
