The old Coach House, dating from 1849, was originally part of the Port Admiral Hotel.

It is now a studio/gallery.

We might notice the cap of the old tie rod on the side wall of the building. Many of these old buildings were built on poor foundations. Metal tie rods were later installed to keep the structures intact.
