ELLIOT’S BAKERY

Alfred Elliot was one of the early residents of Walhalla. He was a baker and pastry cook and had a shop in the main street. The shop still stands at the southern end of the town.

Nearby stands an informative sign giving some history of the old building. It is the oldest existing building in the town, dating from 1868.

Opposite the bakery flows the creek , which has been both a blessing and a curse to the town.
