The Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows was a Friendly Society established in Port Fairy in 1848, after being granted land, for a nominal fee, by James Atkinson. The current building replaces the original which was burned down in 1845. This hall was used for entertainment provided by visiting groups prior to the Lecture Hall being completed in 1883. The building was sold in 1978 and is now used as a private residence.

The entryway is quite impressive.
