The Earl of Aberdeen is a pub full of character that is proud of its heritage. The front bar has historic Coopers photographs and a brass fan from another age! I was also shown an old stained glass window upstairs.
The Earl of Aberdeen was established in 1850 as the Devon Arms and renamed the Earl of Aberdeen in 1880.
The Hotel was once owned by Coopers and has all Coopers beers on tap. The front bar is lined with historical photos of the early days of Coopers in South Australia. There is also a long revolving brass fan of unusual design.
Surprisingly, I can find little written about the early days of this old pub.
