These houses with their cantileverd balconies were erected in the 1880s. They have distinctive roof ornamentation at the corners. A blue plaque gives information.
These houses, with cantilevered balconies, were erected by A. G. Chapman in the early 1880s. Alfred George Chapman was born in London in 1834 and migrated to South Australia in his twentieth year, starting in Adelaide as a carpenter. Chapman also assisted Charles Todd with the first government telegraph line to Port Adelaide in 1856.
