The old ANZ Bank building was constructed in 1859 in graceful classic style. This is seen in the Roman Ionic columns and in the window detailing.

A plaque tells us that originally the Union Bank occupied this building.

The interior of the building has been modernized, but the old floorboards and solid skirtings have been retained.
