This fine two storeyed stone building was erected in 1870 and was occupied by the owner, Robert McMahon, as a dwelling and a drapery store. (The date on the façade is incorrect.) The bluestone frontage was plastered and decorated with moulded window architraves and false quoins in 1873. In 1885 the building became a produce store, ironmongery and general business and in 1925 a bakery and butchery. The building on the western side was added in the 1950s. |
