This (very private and secluded!) stone house was once the home of flour miller Joseph Goble. It was said that Goble woke if the engine noise from his mill opposite changed. He would then cross the road in his nightshirt to make any necessary adjustments. The low front wall has some interesting 20th century parget plasterwork.
