51. SEAVIEW |

‘Seaview’ is an old house tucked away behing a thick screen of vegetation at the end of Phillip Street. A sign on the fence tells us we have the right house, but it is difficult to find a close view.
This stone house was built ca 1860, and was the home of David Talbot, a local merchant in the 1860s. It later belonged to Michael O'Reilly, the controversial editor of ‘The Banner of Belfast’. The interior contains very fine woodwork. |
