This house was built by John Perry who arrived from Cornwall in 1854. His fine stone wrok can be seen in many buildings throughout the district. In Port Fairy, these include the former ANZ Bank, St John’s and St Patrick’s churches, the Post Office and the Mechanics’ Institute. His stone cutting yard was next door to his home. |
