The Library was built in 1877 as an Institute. The building operated as the offices of the Corporation of Victor Harbor, until the amalgamation of that body and the District Council of Encounter Bay in 1975. In 1981, as a result of collaboration between the Council and the Libraries Board of S.A., it became the Victor Harbor Public Library. |
