The entry to the Fort is guarded by an impressive but ineffectual gun barrel. The sign reads: Hydro-Pneumatic Part of a hydro-pneumatic gun previously located at the Crows Nest Battery about Built by W. M. Armstrong & Co. The barrel weighs 12180 Kgs (26800 lbs) Placed in this position by the
